Zach, Jake, Greg and Gooch found this huge 8 pointer bedded in a patch of Cottonwoods along a river. They moved around to get the wind in their favor and used the windy conditions to their advantage to move in close enough for a shot.

Habitat Overview
Rolling, rocky hills with permanent and intermittent water sources weaved throughout. Most river bottoms are dominated with cottonwoods and soil conditions become dry as you go up in elevation. Whitetails primarily live on the river systems and mule deer become more prevalent as you go higher in elevation into the rocky more arid terrain.
